What a person thinks, does not matter to me because that's something that they sometimes keep to themselves. Now what they say on the other hand is totally different because words can hurt especially when they are lies or the person doesn't know you. Words have hurt images and killed careers, that's why you need to be careful who you call a friend!
The reality is no matter how hard we try to ignore another's perception of one self, at the end of the day, what they say does weigh heavy of your feelings. It's easy to say we don't but we are human. You can't spell DON't without the DO.
We care what people think!! I care what people's perception of me is and rightly so, as a mother, a christian, a friend, a coworker, a daughter, a sister...these are all areas that matter and the people I affect in these areas lok up to me and I care if they believe that I am doing my best or worst. Now people outside those catergories that I don't know can be of little concern to me. But as a Christian I should be concerned with what a stranger thinks about me because I might be who God has placed in there path to lead them to him and if I am not living up to the standard that person will not want to hear anything I have to say. As examples of Jesus we should care what people think about us....but with that said we cannot control others thoughts all we can control are our actions. GREAT POST!
Why should we care what another man thinks of us? Society has made it this way with all the media outlets, tv, radio, magazines. ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME! So why should I care? Can't front, I do tho...Lol
As long as I'm comfortable with who I am I don't really care what someone else thinks of me...because it is just that what they think. The only time I will defend or entertain what someone may thinks is when effects ppl close to me...
