What we often forget is love is an action it is not something we say but something we do. When we truly love God we follow his commandments!! The father loves us inspite of us...he already knows our faults and shortcomings and yet he still accepts us flaws and all. We must walk worthy of being called his children.
Indeed!!! Praise, trust and worship most certainly show our love for God; but, what is often forgotten is the second most important commandment..."love thy neighbour as we love ourselves." How can we say we love God and hate (dislike) our neighbour or hate the one who wronged us? This is not a spirit of the Lord. The Bible supports this in the scripture, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" 1John 4:20. You want to show God how much you love Him? Start by loving those around you....okay, at least try!!!!! :-)
